In addition to the custom air gauges which I manufacture and sell, I often get asked about air compressors. What do I have? What have I tried? Why did I make the air compressor choice I did for my CJ? What would be best for your particular vehicle or setup? How do you convert an air condition pump?
I've decided to put together a page of links and photos describing the various types of compressors available. An alternate method for airing up after a trail is using an onboard CO2 tank. Check here for a CO2 Tire Refill system. This seems like a very nice way to go but wasn't available when I installed the system in my CJ5..
