Slickrock & Outlaw Air Gauges

Airing down with a Slickrock Air Gauge and 24 inch hose.

Can either the SLICKROCK or OUTLAW Air Gauge be used in airing down and up?

YES. This is one of the unique features in that you not only air down but air up through the gauge assembly.

What are the differences between the "Slickrock Air Gauge" and "The Outlaw Air Gauge"?

The ONLY difference is the chuck. The Slickrock model uses an angled, clip-on type chuck. The Outlaw model air gauge uses a straight clip-on chuck.

What is the pressure range of the Slickrock Air Gauge?

Pressure range is 0-60 psi in 1 pound increments with numbers every 10 psi. (0-400 kPa.)

What is a clip-on chuck and how does it work?

The clip-on chuck connects the air gauge hose to your tire stem. It is thumb operated and clips on or holds onto the stem threads so you don't have to hold it connected.

Why do you use two different types of clip-on chucks?

The angled chuck fits many stems which cannot be reached using the straight type clip-on chuck. The straight, clip-on chuck works better in situations where the stems are short, recessed or have chrome sleeves.

Can both pressure guages be used as deflators?

YES. That is what makes the Slickrock and Outlaw air gauges so unique. They were designed for airing down while the gauge assembly is connected to the tire stem. Don't confuse the bleed valve on the Slickrock and Outlaw Air Gauges with the pressure relief button on some gauges which are only meant to relieve trapped air after taking a tire pressure reading.

How does the deflator work and where is it located?

The deflator or bleed valve is located near the dial gauge. It is operated by pressing with your thumb. Connect the gauge chuck to a tire stem and read tire pressure. Press the bleed valve and begin airing down. Momentarily release the bleed valve to check current pressure.

What hose lengths do you offer?

There are two basic lengths. Typical hose length is either 24 inch or 36 inchs.

Custom hose lengths available upon request. If you want a four foot hose or longer just ask.

Do you make custom setups?

Yes. Customization options include a longer hose, higher or lower pressure range (for example: 0-30 psi, 0-100 psi, 0-300 psi), larger dial and liquid filled gauges. Write for pricing and availability.

Does the length of hose affect the air down time?

Not usually. Typically, the valve stem internal dimensions are the limiting factor. Small hose ID or overly long hose length and bleed valve orifice size all affect the rate of air flow to some degree. Generally, a hose length under 48" has minimal effect on bleed down time.

Does hose length affect accuracy of the dial gauge?

No. Hose length does not affect to accuracy of the gauge.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Rates vary by destination, weight and desired delivery speed. Please e-mail for a quote. We'll try to get the best shipping for the least amount.

Do you have a catalog?

I sometimes get letters requesting a brochure or catalog be sent. I don't have any printed materials to mail out. This web site IS my always up to date catalog. Many of the pages are set up to be printer friendly. Products. GPS. Trails. K&D Enterprises.

If you cannot find the answer to your questions then send me an email and I'll see what I can do.
